The young researches can join the JQYA as Fellows or as Members

Fellows shape the inner core of the academy, drive cross-disciplinary discussions within the Academy Programactively contribute to the organization’s goals and activities. Fellows define the academic work by annually formulation of the Academy Theme which aims at inter-connecting and strengthening the cross-disciplinary work on the national and international level. Up to ten most excellent candidates from different disciplines and fields will be selected each year and become JQYA-FellowsFellows are integrated into the Academy Program and bound for 3 years to the participation in all integral elements of the Academy Program.

Members are not integrated into the Academy Program but rather may additionally apply for the fellow status gaining all benefits of the fellow status. Participation as a Member is for a limited term of 5 years.

Fellows and Members will become JQYA-Alumni after the expiry of their memberships.

The JQYA connects young scientists with outstanding leaders of the international science community from every conceivable discipline. Every three years, the founding directors and the executive board of the Goethe University appoint up to four Distinguished Senior Scientists as the external board of the JQYA. Those are established international leaders of the scientific community that have supportive and advisory role within the JQYA.
